How it works
Your NPathy Journey
NPathy is an accessible, tailored and professional telehealth service that allows people across Australia to access high quality mental health care. NPathy NPs range in availability and speciality to best meet your needs.
Requirements:
- People over 12 years of age
- Have an internet connection
- Have a smartphone or laptop with a working camera and microphone
- A credit/debit card or PayPal account to pay for your consultation.
With a GP Referral
- Your GP writes you a simple, one-page referral letter to access NPathy services (this will be valid for 12 months)
- You can access a Medicare Rebate for your consultations
- You can access subsidised medications listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
- You can access bulk billed pathology services (blood tests)
Your rebate amount will increase once you passed the Medicare Safety Net. Find out more about Medicare Safety Net here.
Without a GP Referral
NPathy NPs are still able to provide you with the highest quality mental health care without a GP Referral. Private clients should be aware of the following:
- Full fees are payable and no Medicare rebate is applicable.
- A private client can provide their GP with a copy of the management plan to prescribe medications or refer for a blood test if needed. This way, you will not be liable for full costs of medications or investigations.
Not sure how to explain NPathy to your GP?
Don’t worry, NPathy has formulated the perfect letter outlining the service and what is required from your GP.
