Diagnosis
NPs are authorised diagnosticians. Depending on your circumstances, NPathy NPs may formulate a diagnosis (aligned with the DSM-V) in order to assist you with your treatment plan. If this differs from a previous diagnosis, an explanation will be provided to you and your GP.
NPs can also diagnose ADHD, however booking of the designated ‘ADHD Assessment’ session is required for this due to time and report writing.
NPathy NPs may not always provide a diagnosis if you decide a ‘label’ is not what you would like. That is absolutely okay. Supportive therapy, listening and connection on a human level will be provided within a management plan that is most suited to your needs.
